New Delhi: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah here on Monday and handed over the “third year activity book” to him, wishing him a fourth year of service.
In the brief meeting of about 10 minutes, which was held at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) around 4.45 pm, Soundararajan also discussed some other matters in the state, clarifying that the visit was a “routine” affair. “I am here to receive greetings as I have completed my third year and started my fourth year (duty). I have submitted my third year activity book to the home minister. And I have received greetings. It is a regular visit. Everything is there,” Shah said. Soundarajan said after the meeting.
The meeting came nearly three days after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao released a new videotape of the alleged cash-swapping scam in which three men – Ramachandra Bharti, Simhayaji and Nanda Kumar – were shown trying to poach four TRS MLAs. With huge cash offers.
Releasing the videotapes on November 4, hours after polling officially ended in the Munugode by-election, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo said he would send the “disgusting” footage to the Chief Justice of India, SC judges, chief justices. All HCs, State Chief Ministers, all media outlets and central investigative agencies such as Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate and Central Vigilance Commission.
Soon after ‘Poachgate’ two audio and video clips were released to the media.
“Buying of MLAs and bulldozing of elected governments is happening brazenly in the country. Conspiracies to oust elected governments have taken place in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan,” KCR claimed. (ANI)
