Teclast presented the M40 Plus, which it will sell on AliExpress. Listed at $179.99 on the company’s website, the Teclast is actually priced at $139.45 on AliExpress for the tablet, power adapter, charging cable and card slot tool. Alternatively, the M40 Plus can be purchased with a protective cover and compact keyboard if you need either of those.
The M40 Plus is based on MediaTek’s 2019 Kompanio 500 MT8183 chipset. Built around the 12nm manufacturing process, the Kompanio 500 MT8183 includes four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores, four Cortex-A73 CPUs and a Mali CPU. The G72 MP3 GPU is also an AI accelerator that provides 0.5 TOPS performance. Additionally, the M40 Plus has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage, the latter expandable via microSD card.
In addition, the M40 Plus has a 10.1-inch IPS panel that runs on 1920 x 1200 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to Teclast, the tablet also features a 7,000mAh battery, a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, an 8MP primary camera, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The M40 Plus is currently only available to order in navy blue, but that color won’t be rolling out, as Teclast images show. More information about the M40 Plus can be found on the company’s website.
