TCL Electronics has announced a partnership with streaming leader Roku to bring TCL Roku TVs to Australia.

From this month, 4K UHD TCL models of Roku TV in 55- or 65-inch screen sizes will be available at JB Hi-Fi.

Roku has more than 65.4 million users worldwide, streaming 21.9 billion hours of content in the September quarter alone.

“When considering buying a new TV, the operating system that comes with it is just as important as its screen size, frame rate, and resolution,” said Jason Carrick, general manager of TCL Australia.

“TCL Roku TV sets combine sophisticated TCL hardware with intelligent Roku software that brings compelling content sources together.”

Australian Roku TV models include Freeview support, giving customers access to all their favorite channels, and the Roku Channel Store, which offers thousands of free and premium streaming channels such as Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Paramount+, and Prime Video, Stan, 9Now, and -7plus – and more to come.

“Roku TV offers consumers a seamless smart TV experience, combining exciting entertainment options with unparalleled convenience at a very affordable price,” said Arthur van Rest, VP, International at Roku.

“TCL was one of the first TV manufacturers to adopt the Roku TV platform, and we are excited to expand our global partnership with the launch in Australia.”

TCL Roku TVs will be available at JB Hi-FI for $699 (55”) and $899 (65”).
