Skoda Auto India sold 4,433 cars in November, will cross 50,000 units in CY2022.

Skoda Auto India, the first Indian carmaker to release its figures for the month of November 2022, reported impressive growth last month. At 4,433 units, the November 2022 figures are up 102% year-on-year (November 2021: 2,196 units).

This strong performance, driven mainly by the Skoda Kushaq midsize SUV and the Slavia sedan, has ensured that Czech car sales this year so far have increased by 137% YoY (see data table below). In the first 11 months of 2022, Skoda Auto India sold 48,933 units (January-November 2021: 20,624), which is more than the calendar 2021 sales of 23,858 units.

Petr Solc, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India said, “We have just crossed a milestone in our record high sales, becoming the third biggest seller for Skoda Auto. With our November sales, I’m happy to share that we’ve doubled our sales for the year, over 2021, with the big month of December still to go. “

Given the sales force, the company should easily cross the 50,000-unit target by CY2022. India is now Skoda’s third largest market in the world and the company is driving new initiatives to further its growth. This includes increasing the sales network by 26% from 175 in December 2021 to more than 220 as of now.
