Samsung OLED Spec and Features

Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels are now widely available in new smartphones, tablets and laptops, and many brands are already offering them in their TVs. OLED typically provides better brightness, more vivid colors, and provides greater blacks as each pixel can be turned off individually.

According to Samsung, its OLED 4K S95B series with an HDR10+ certified panel offers 8.3 million bright pixels that offer an unequaled depth, pure white and a full shade of vibrant colors that lead to more accurate, pure and bright images than traditional OLED TVs. It comes with Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor 4K which adjusts screen brightness and contrast at the pixel level using AI. A built-in AI processor can help upscale non-4K content to high-quality 4K.

The Samsung OLED TV has a 120Hz refresh rate for playback and comes with four HDMI 2.1 ports. However, the spec sheet indicated a refresh rate of 100Hz, so the 120Hz refresh rate is likely to be digitally boosted with the Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ feature.

The OLED TV has a slim design that is 7.5mm in the smallest area and has high channel speakers with Dolby Atmos. According to Samsung, their Dolby Atmos technology is physically powered by multiple dedicated TV speakers around the screen for a truly immersive theater experience. There are a total of four speakers on the top and bottom sides, and you can enhance your audio experience with the Samsung Q-Symphony when connected to a Samsung wireless sound bar.

Out of the box, the Smart TV works on Samsung’s Tizen OS which can support your popular video streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Disney +, Prime Video and Apple TV. It supports Bixby voice commands and can be used to connect other Samsung smart home devices via SmartThings. With a compatible Samsung or Android device, you can use it to connect wirelessly to DeX and enable MultiView support to display your phone and TV content at the same time.
