Sam Asghari went live on Instagram as he slept with Britney Spears on Wednesday night, capturing the pop star.
“Can I show you or not?” the actor asked his wife as he sat in the dark.
“Huh? Show me what?” A troubled Spears, 40, responded off-camera.
“On Life,” Asghari, 28, explained.
“What are you talking about?” the “Hold Me Closer” singer replied.
“Can I turn the camera on you?” wonders the former personal trainer.
After learning that Asghari was alive, Spears exclaimed, “I’m alive!”
“I don’t have anything to say. I don’t want to talk to them right now,” he added, about 3,000 people listening.
“Okay, that sounds good,” Asghari agreed before ending Live.
The short stream, in contrast, divided Spears’ fans after the footage began circulating on social media.
“Can you imagine your husband being healthy and asking you to show your face when you’re not in the mood?! I’d punch my husband in the face,” one person wrote on comments section of Spears fan account BreatheHeavy.
“Erm yeah I don’t really like how he’s doing this. What was he thinking?” said another.
“I don’t think he surprised him. He should have asked him before he went live,” admitted the third fan.
Others, however, rushed to the defense of Spears and Asghari.
“He respected her wish when she said no,” added an onlooker.
“If the Queen doesn’t want to talk to anyone…including us, sorry, lol She won’t talk. He is allowed to pursue himself,” said another.
“It’s a couple’s conversation,” argued one.
Spears married Asghari in June after tying the knot in September 2021. The couple met in October 2016 on the set of the Grammy winner’s musical “Slumber Party.”
A source previously told Page Six that the fitness model has been a “huge support” for Spears throughout her battle to end her 13-year maintenance career.
“He helps to increase his confidence and reassures him that everything will be fine,” the defender said, adding that Asghari was “always there. [Spears] how much love and support fans have for him.
The “Crossroads” star was freed from the custody of her estranged father Jamie Spears that November.
