Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has launched its first tablet in the budget category in India. It comes with a starting price of a tablet called Redmi Pad ₹14,999. The tablet is claimed to offer all-day battery life and is equipped with four speakers for audio. The launch will be ahead of Diwali and will be available in the country from October 5.
Features of Redmi Pad
The Redmi Pad comes with a 10.61-inch 2K display with a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels. The screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 400 nits. The device is offered in three colors – Moonlight Silver, Graphite Gray and Mint Green.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and 6GB of RAM. The Redmi Pad offers up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage capacity. It has an 8MP front camera with a 105-degree field of view. On the back, users get an 8MP camera sensor with Full HD video recording.
The Redmi Pad is powered by an 8000 mAh battery. It comes with a USB Type-C charging port and supports 18-watt fast charging. The new tablet runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 operating system. It is equipped with Bluetooth 5.2 version along with WiFi for wireless communication.
Redmi Pad Price and Specifications
The Redmi Pad comes with a starting price ₹14,999. The basic model of the tablet has 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Another variant is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM. It has a price tag ₹17,999. The flagship model of the tablet includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Options can be purchased ₹19,999. All three tablet models will be available at retail as part of the introductory offer ₹12,999 (3GB), ₹14,999 (4GB) and ₹16,999 (6GB). The company is also giving a 10% bank discount on the tablet.
