Redmi Pad has been officially launched in Nepal. It is also the first tablet under Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand. Xiaomi previously launched the Xiaomi Pad 5, which was probably the best device in its price category.
The latest edition, the Redmi Pad, is a cheaper option than its predecessor. There are many exciting features to look forward to in the tab. The display on the device supports high refresh rate and comes with anti-glare protection. The display also offers a higher resolution, which offers a clearer view. Similarly, the battery backup is also decent on the tab and there is support for fast charging.

Design and display
The Redmi Pad comes with decent style. The switch has a metal body and an aluminum frame. Flat sides with sharp edges on the passage make it even better. The back of the tab eliminates fingerprints and the camera module looks neat. The Redmi brand is neatly done on the left. The Tab doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but it does support facial recognition.
The Redmi Pad weighs around 465 grams and measures just 7.10 mm. It is available in Mint Green, Moonlight Silver and Graphite Grey.
On the front is a 10.61-inch IPS LCD display that offers a resolution of 1200*2000 pixels (2K) and a density of 220 PPI. 2K resolution allows for a wider picture and more detailed recording. Adding style to the display are the integrated bezels that surround it. In addition, the display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and has built-in eye protection for long periods of use without causing eye strain. The display has a typical brightness of 400 nits.
Cameras
The cameras on the Redmi Pad are pretty basic. There is an 8 MP camera on both sides. The rear primary camera has an aperture of f/2.0 and autofocus feature, while the front ultra-wide camera has an aperture of f/2.3 and a FOV of 105 degrees. Both cameras can record videos in 1080p resolution at 30fps.
Implementation and maintenance
Redmi Pad runs on MIUI 13.1 based on Android 12. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 (6nm) chipset and the graphics are powered by Mali-G57 MC2. The device is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and users can expand the storage using a microSD card.
Battery life, connectivity and more
The Redmi Pad comes backed by an 8,000 mAh non-removable battery. This device should be charged for a couple of days. It can be great for both personal and professional use. You can easily plug into it all day long without worrying about battery life. When the power is low, you can charge the device with the 18W fast charger.
The current model of the Redmi Pad does not support any cellular connectivity. For other connectivity modes, the tablet supports dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.2. Bluetooth mode can be used for wireless pairing with other devices. The USB Type-C cable is used by the device for charging and wired pairing. The device has four speakers which should provide an amazing audio experience for the users.
