Rapper Offset has released his first public statement on November 1 beating the death of his cousin and Migos bandmate Takeoff, who wrote on Instagram, “I can’t hurt you left me. ”

“My heart is broken, I have so much to say, but I can’t find the words,” Offset wrote. “I fell asleep and woke up hoping it was all a dream, but it’s true, reality is a dream.”

28-year-old Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and killed outside a bowling alley in Houston in an unsolved incident. He is a member of the Georgia-based hip-hop trio Migos with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset.

“Every time you see me, you don’t give me a dap and you hug me,” wrote Offset, the husband of rapper Cardi B. “If only I could hug you for the last time. Bake for the last time. Work for the last time. I know there is someone in heaven with a soul like you. I hope you see how much we love you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled.

Quavo posted a message on Instagram on Nov. 12, writing, “He’s always had a passion for music. HIS dream is to be a rapper because I don’t know. to my liking. Then he made his triple sentence, and the rest is HISTORY. He never worried about titles, numbers, why someone shined, not him. He didn’t care about any of that. because we’re going to bring them home to the family!”

Quavo and Offset took part in a public memorial for Takeoff at the Atlanta Hawks’ home stadium on November 11, with Drake paying tribute and Justin Bieber and Chloe Bailey performing.
