Scottish confectionery brand Mrs Tilly’s is supplying dozens of Scottish Asda stores with two new seasonal products after winning the contract.

The firm has developed its first Christmas range of fudge, featuring best-selling flavors including candy cane, cognac cream and gingerbread. It will also introduce the Rabbi Burns Malt Whiskey Tablet and celebrate the brand’s flagship sweet flavor to celebrate Burns Night in January.

Elizabeth Paterson, chief executive of Mrs Tilly’s, said: “This is the first festive range pack we’ve developed under the brand, with fantastic seasonal flavours, all beautifully presented in a Christmas themed box. From Hogmanay to Burns Night, our Rabbi Burns Malt Whiskey Tablet puts a twist on our most famous product as a way to celebrate one of Scotland’s best-loved and best-loved figures. We have had a long and cooperative relationship with Asda for many years.

The products are sold in 75 Asda stores.

Ashley Connolly, local buying manager at Asda, added: “It’s great to have Mrs Tilly’s products on our shelves – our customers love seeing local suppliers in store. We are always on the lookout for fresh and delicious products and we think our shoppers will enjoy this festive treat for Christmas. We’re also proud to honor our national poet, Rabbi Burns, in January, and Ms. Tilley’s Rabbi Burns Malt Whiskey Tablet is the perfect way to do just that. We are sure our customers will enjoy these fresh and unique Scottish dishes.
