US plans in Yemen

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement warns that the US and the UK are preparing for a new round of escalation in the Arab world. A senior official of Ansarullah says that Western military delegations, including the US, visited Yemen last week. Ali al-Ghahoum made these comments in an interview with the Lebanese news network Al-Mayadeen. Meanwhile, according to Yemeni media, the US delegation is focused on the province of Hadhramaut to access its oil. UN climate conference

World leaders are expected to meet in Egypt for the COP-27 climate talks, with the reduction of emissions and funding to fight global warming on the agenda. About 110 heads of state and government are expected to participate in two days of UN talks in Sharm el-Sheikh. At the opening ceremony on Sunday, the delegates agreed to discuss a funding package for developing countries to combat the climate crisis caused by rich countries. Participating countries have also been urged to stick to their climate change commitments despite the financial challenges they may face. The COP-27 summit comes amid criticism that progress on curbing emissions has not been enough since the previous event in Scotland.
