Perrie’s mother Debbie took part in the so-called ‘mad riff challenge’

Little Mix member Perrie Edwards took to Instagram stories to share a video that appears to mock a popular Instagram video.

In the video, we see Perrie’s mom, Debbie singing the beginning of the 2006 hit Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, while Perrie smiles behind the camera.

This came after the release of a video of the two singers covering the song. The original TikTok was posted by a singer named NatalieJaneSings on TikTok. The trend started as the ‘crazy riff challenge’, where other TikTok users try to achieve a riff from a cover or completely mock the original video.

Perrie captioned the clip on Instagram: “You can tell me debs are in the TikTok hole”, while Debbie tries to riff on Perrie’s joke that saying he was singing the wrong words. “It’s a tongue-in-cheek song,” Debbie said, adding that she hates singing.

Perrie has been mostly silent on social media with her last post since October 29. The carousel post of photos and videos featured Perrie, her footballer wife Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and their son, Axel at the pumpkin patch before Halloween. Perrie is currently working on her first solo single since Little Mix split earlier this year.
