PAUL SCHOLES has fired a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo in a shocking Instagram post.
That’s after the veteran had his contract terminated by Manchester United on Tuesday.
Ronaldo’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan last week stunned club bosses.
And he is no longer a Man United player after the Red Devils announced his retirement.
Ronaldo is now free to forge his own path without worrying about transfer fees or club negotiations.
But Scholes was less appreciative when reacting to reports on social media.
In an Instagram story, now deleted, Scholes wrote: “Mission accomplished… a *** d!”
Ronaldo has left speculation amid United speculation after returning to the club 18 months ago.
While Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand supported Ronnie, others including Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville were less than complimentary.
In Rooney’s case, he became the subject of Ronaldo’s ire in Piers’ interview.

The now-owner DC United did not hide his disdain for the actions and performances of the striker.
This prompted Ronaldo to hit out at Rooney, saying the former England captain is OVER his height and form.
Wazza responded to Ronaldo’s departure from United, and he has thanked his former friend for getting better after being “a very good servant.”
Rooney said: “Am I surprised? No.
“We have no choice but it’s a shame because he’s been a good servant for the club.
“I want him everywhere he goes.”
