A man hit a security guard with his car at the gate of his housing society in Noida while evading arrest on Tuesday. NDTV said that the horrific incident was caught on CCTV camera.

Driver Neeraj Singh works as a general manager in a private company. According to media reports, the Noida police wanted to arrest Singh in a case filed by a colleague who accused him of rape.

A police official said Singh was missing since the case was registered.

Police were informed on Tuesday evening that Singh was spotted at his house in Sector 120, Amrapali Zodiac Society. Sening the presence of the police, Singh tried to escape.

In the CCTV footage, Singh’s car can be seen swerving sharply while exiting the underground parking. The car then rammed into a security guard at the gate, before being dragged out of the community as a police officer gave chase.

In another clip, the security guard is seen being thrown to the ground as other security guards and police officers start to surround the car. The vehicle then fired again and fled.

The complaint was filed a month and a half ago

According to the police, a complaint was filed against the accused one and a half months ago. He has since changed companies and is currently a general manager at a firm in Gurgaon.

The security guard, Ashok Mavi, reportedly suffered injuries to his shoulder and leg. Based on his complaint, a case was registered against Singh on Wednesday under sections 279 (rash driving), 427 (causing hurt) and 338 (causing grievous hurt or endangering life), of the Indian Penal Code, police said.

In August, a video of a woman misbehaving with a security guard in a society in Noida went viral. Later the local court granted bail to the woman. Bhavya Rai, 32, was arrested for the incident at the entrance of JP Wishtown Society in Sector 128.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Richa Upadhyay of Surajpur court granted him bail, his lawyer Inderveer Singh Bhati said, news agency PTI reported. The woman was arrested based on one of her viral videos and sent to 14-day judicial custody.
