MoS Muralidharan interacting with the Indian community in Brazil | Tech Reddy

Sao Paulo: Minister of State for External Affairs (MoS) V Muralitharan on Monday interacted with the Indian community at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Sao Paulo and invited them to participate in the Pravasi Indian Day programme.
Muralitharan, who arrived in Brazil today, tweeted, “Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, a lively conversation with the Indian community in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Appreciated Indian associations and communities for promoting India’s rich cultural heritage in Brazil. Invite them to participate in #PBD2023.”

It is pertinent to mention that Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be held in Indore in January next year.
He is expected to address a special session of the Brazilian Congress to mark 75 years of India’s independence.
On his arrival in Brazil, MoS Muralidharan said, “Delighted to be in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with whom we share a strategic partnership. Looking forward to my engagement with Brazilian Congress to mark 75 years of India’s independence. Brazilian leadership and Indian community.”
The MoS will attend the Selemen session to mark 75 years of India’s independence on November 8, which will be held at the Brazilian Parliament (Congreso Nacional). According to a statement released by the Ministry of External Affairs, this will be the first visit of MOS Muralidharan to Brazil.

The minister will also address the congregation of Brazilian parliamentarians from the upper and lower houses; representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations; Representatives of the Government of Brazil and Friends of India during his visit to Brazil.
MoS Muralitharan will also meet the Vice President of Brazil and exchange views at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after which he will meet the Indian community in Sao Paulo and attend a reception in Brasilia with members of Congress and Senate, diplomats, members of the Brazilian government and the Indian community, the MEA statement said.
The meeting between the leaders of the two countries will focus on ways to strengthen relations between Brazil and India.
India and Brazil are celebrating 74 years of diplomatic relations in 2022. They have a strategic partnership since 2006, deepened through the Action Plan to Strengthen Strategic Partnership in 2020 and working together in various international forums such as BRICS, IBSA, G4, etc. The G20, BASIC, and the United Nations.
