GURUGRAM: MCG has prepared estimates to complete deficient infrastructure in four out of eight private govt colony It took over five months ago. The civic body has acquired four more private colonies including Sushant Lok-2 and 3, RD City and Greenwood City. Possession of Mayfield Gardens is still pending despite clear instructions from the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP). According to a DTCP order issued on May 9, the estimated cost of completing the deficient infrastructure is Rs 14.7 crore for Malibu Town, Rs 8.9 crore for Vipul World, Rs 4.5 crore for Rosewood City and Rs 3.6 crore for Uppal Southend. The MCG, however, has prepared fresh estimates based on a fresh survey.
Meanwhile, a delegation of residents met the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattarwho was in Gurugram on Monday and raised the issue of delay in completing deficient infrastructural works in the recently adopted colonies.
“Without implementing the deficit project report, how can we expect infrastructure improvements in these colonies? There are water and sewage problems and our roads are in poor condition. Residents had high expectations from MCG after the takeover but the whole process has been slow. We raised the matter with the chief minister on Monday and also discussed it with the district commissioner,” said Gauri Sarin, convener of Citizens’ Group Making Model Gurugram.
