Mangaluru, November 7: Responding to the issue of allowing beef stalls to operate in the central market, MLA Vedavyas Kamath said on Monday, November 7: “Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders have opposed the allotment of beef stalls beef in the central market that will be built again. This market is the oldest market in my district.

“I am an MLA but since the age of four I am a volunteer of the RSS. I have spoken to the officials about the meat stalls in the central market. If the cow stalls are not abandoned from the new central market, they will not I will not perform the ceremony of laying the stone in the coming days.

“The plan of this building was made during the rule of the previous government. But the BJP government recently introduced the anti-cow slaughter law. The work of the market should have started long ago. But the Congress brought an order of permanence from the court. The Congress has created obstacles for many projects in the city.

“This plan was implemented a long time ago. But it was not careful to change the plan after the introduction of the anti-cow slaughter law. Now we will look at it. We will see that cow stalls are not allowed in the central market .

“All MLAs are wary of illegal cow slaughter centers. The government will identify illegal cow slaughter places and the property will be confiscated. Already many properties are confiscated due to the law. Grâce à cette loi et à la loi anti-cow slaughter, public awareness will be created,” he said.

The VHP members met the MLA and presented him with a memorandum urging him to give up permission to set up beef stalls in the central market.
