How is the 2022 Evo C2 model improved?
The LG Evo C2 4K OLED TV is the successor to the highly popular and highly rated LG C1. There are two things to improve the article. The LG C2 uses a high-end “Evo” OLED panel that was only found in the high-end LG Gallery series OLED TVs. The Evo panel offers a very high brightness, which is something that OLED generally loses to LCD LED TVs. Another improvement is weight, although “down” would be more appropriate. The LG Evo C2 uses fiber composite in its rear cabinet housing which drops the weight to 32 pounds without standing. The LG C1 weighs 59 pounds!
What’s So Good About OLED?

It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR), which is the TV’s version of adaptive sync technology, and auto low latency mode (ALLM), which means the TV automatically switches to low latency during playback. The LG C2 also supports HGiG, which is similar to Dolby Vision HDR but specifically for games. Basically your gaming console will be able to identify the exact model of your TV and use the HDR settings configured directly for your TV, an automatic type of HDR color calibration if you like. It takes most of the tweaking involved on your end (which most people tend to ignore completely) and thus delivers a better HDR image out of the box.
