The mother of late actor Lee Ji-han posted a letter to her son via her Instagram account on Friday.
Lee died on October 29 during a stampede in central Seoul’s Itaewon, which claimed more than 150 lives. He was set to appear in the upcoming MBC series “Season of Kkokdu.”
“I write this letter with the hope that my son will be able to read this,” the mother wrote. She also shared a baby picture and a photo of the actor in the post. “I want to spread it [the tragedy] to everyone so that this does not happen to anyone again.
“You did a lot of things before the filming started for ‘Season of Kkokdu’,” he said. “You did it every day and every time I was upset when you asked, ‘mom, can I eat this?’ because you ate it […] I still can’t believe what happened because it was so stupid and stupid.
Lee’s mother ended the letter by wishing for peace for her son.
The actor first became known to the public in 2018 through the second season of Mnet’s popular idol competition show “Produce 101.” He made his acting debut the following year through the web series “Today Was Another Nam Hyeon Day.”
