GOOGLE DOODLE INDIA 2022: Kolkata’s Shlok Mukherjee Doodle titled “India on the Center Stage” is the winner of the Google India 2022 competition. Shlok doodles his hopes of moving to India’s center of scientific progress. This year’s competition received over 115,000 entries from children from classes 1 to 10 from over 100 cities across India responding to the theme.
This year’s Doodle for Google judging panel included actor, filmmaker, producer and TV personality Neena Gupta; Editor-in-Chief of Tinkle Comics, Kouriakos Vaisian; YouTube Creators Slaypoint; And, artist and entrepreneur Alika Bhatt, and the Google Doodle team.

“Together, they had the enormous task of selecting 20 finalists from across the country, evaluating entries on the criteria of artistic merit, creativity, alignment with the contest theme, and uniqueness and novelty of approach,” Google said.

The Doodle for Google competition aims to encourage creativity and celebrate the imagination of young people, and we continue to be inspired by the endless talent across the country. Keep doodling, and we look forward to seeing what you share with us in the next contest!,” said Sapna Chadha, Vice President Marketing, Google India and Southeast Asia.
The 20 final doodles were displayed online for public voting Apart from the national winner, 4 group winners are also selected.
This year’s national winner of India’s Doodle for Google competition, Shlok Mukherjee, is a student of Delhi Public School, Newtown, Kolkata. He won the competition with his thoughtful and inspirational doodle titled, “India on Center Stage.”
The verse reads: “In the next 25 years, my India will be….” We were amazed by the creativity and imagination students brought to their entries and were particularly pleased to see that technology advancement and sustainability emerged as common themes in many of the doodles.
Over 552,000 public votes helped determine the following group winners for our group:
Group 1-2
Winner: Kankala Srinika, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Visakhapatnam
Doodle Title: Joyful Learning
“In 25 years, every child will love learning because learning will be more fun when apps go hands-on. Learning with joy will enhance the quality of life of children through employment opportunities.”
Group 5-6
Winner: Divyanshi Singhal, Delhi Public School, Gurgaon
Doodle Title: Solutions to Natural Disasters
“In the next 25 years, my India will control natural disasters. Remote sensing will detect cyclones and floating sockets that will convert its energy into electricity. Water would be collected on the floor in huge heated reservoirs to create compressed clouds in portable cylinders. These clouds, aided by drones, can bring rain in droughts, detect events, provide accurate forecasts. And AI will control natural hazards so that there is no further loss of life and property.”
Group 7-8
Winner: Pihu Kachap, SGBM School, Ranchi
Doodle Title: Green Energy Clean Energy
“This doodle represents the development of rural areas The reality of life and economic well-being of people living in rural areas. The bulb tree shows that we should start planting more trees for a healthier environment.”
Class group 9-10
Winner: Puppala Indira Janhvi, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Visakhapatnam
Doodle Title: Soil – Essence of Life
“Soil sustains 75% of life on earth. If a farmer can grow corruption into life, so can we…. Let’s do our part to create the purest form of soil in India forever.”
