He’s caught interest from other teams, but he recently posted a photo of a Dodgers trophy to his Instagram account, indicating they’re on his radar as well.
Of course, there’s no guarantee where he’ll end up. However, this suggests that going to the Dodgers is something Senga is considering among some of the offers he is expected to receive.
It would be a real win for Los Angeles if Senga ends up there. The team is loaded with talent, and he’s only going to get better.
Kodai Senga can help the Dodgers get out of trouble
The Dodgers have problems in their rotation and bullpen, although they have talent. They lack depth and rely on aces like Julio Urias and Clayton Kershaw to star. They have a little more depth in the bullpen, but could get an improvement from someone like Senga.
According to the statistics, Los Angeles got the best results from their budget in the league during the regular season. There is no denying that they are a talented team. However, they can stand to get other true hands to prevent success.
Senga has experience as both a starter and a healer, but it seems he knows more about healing. Considering that’s where the Dodgers will put him if he joins the team, he’s certainly a reliable player to close out games.
This past season, he played for two Japanese leagues and posted an ERA of 1.89 and a WHIP of 1.04. He will be great playing with other true players, and Los Angeles will be a better team with him.
It’s unclear where Senga will end up for the 2023 season, but Los Angeles appears to be considering it.
