Without explanation, Jennifer Lopez’s social media has gone black, and her entire Instagram following has been publicly deleted.

The Instagram account for the singer, actor and producer – who has 226 million followers is his most-followed project – late Tuesday revealed that there were no ads, and the profile picture was replaced with a black image.

J. Lo’s Twitter (45.5 million followers) and TikTok (15.4 million) replaced profile pictures with a black image, but on those platforms her previous posts were not deleted. On Facebook, Lopez, who has 60 million followers, updates her profile picture and cover photo with a photo that says “jennifer lopez” in the text.

A spokesman for Lopez declined to comment. In the past, celebrities and musicians didn’t have social media posts before a big announcement, like an album.

Lopez’s latest studio album, “AKA,” was released in 2014. She performed at the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show with Shakira, which was the basis for the Netflix documentary show “Halftime,” released in the beginning of this year.

Before the film, she starred in the rom-com “Marry Me” with Owen Wilson and appeared in “Shotgun Wedding” opposite Josh Duhamel, which is set for a December release. Under a multi-year deal between Netflix and its Nuyorican Productions banner, Lopez will star as a murderer in the drama “The Mother,” which is expected to hit theaters next year. In 2021, she launched a skin care line, JLo Beauty.

Lopez and Ben Affleck got married this summer in Las Vegas, after the couple rekindled their relationship in the early 2000s, and she adopted Affleck as her last name.

Lopez is the only artist to have had a No. 1 movie. at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
