John Aniston, whose real name is Yiannis Anastasakis, was born in Crete, Greece, and immigrated with his family to Pennsylvania as a child.

He became an actor in the 1960s, appearing in Combat!, I Spy and The Virginian followed by roles in Looking for Tomorrow, The West Wing and Gilmore Girls.

His career took off when he joined Days of Our Lives as Victor Kiriakis in 1985, the former drug lord who went on to build the powerful Titan Industries. Aniston has been in that role for 37 years and won an Emmy for her performance.
