A student from Hastings who wants to be the next Marilyn Monroe says the Netflix biopic about the American actress has helped her earn thousands.

Leylah Dobinson, 23, a full-time model and influencer, said her OnlyFans page has been ‘crazy’ in recent months since the release of the movie Blonde.

The film was released earlier this year and is a fictionalized account of the life and career of American Marilyn Monroe, directed by Ana de Armas.

Leylah said she now earns £6,000 a month following the film’s release.

He said: “I started my OnlyFans in 2020 and the last eight months have been crazy. I’ve made over £30,000. It’s changed my life and I’ve been able to go to abroad and with my modeling career, I have met the most amazing people along the way.

“I truly believe that this is the beginning of something special for me. I know that I will be recognized as a beauty queen one day, and I will not give up until I get there. My motivation and drive will be there. I entered the light that I have always wanted since my childhood.

“I know a lot from my Instagram, OnlyFans and other social media. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2023 brings for me. Getting 30k in such a short period of time is overwhelming. . I’ve learned that if you really want something in life you can achieve it. All you have to do is believe.”

Leylah has more than 20,000 followers on her Instagram page under the name Missleylahlinda because of her love of the American icon from the 1950s and early 1960s.

She said: “It came about a few years ago when my mum told me to be the next Marilyn Monroe. When I was wearing my red lipstick and curly hair she laughed. with tears in her eyes saying ‘you are the next Marilyn Monroe, my girl’.

“I was also crowned Hastings Carnival Queen in 2014 and in previous years was the face of Hastings for many years. She was above people.”
