[ad_1]

Instagram recently added a “poll” feature to its direct messages. The new feature allows users to create polls to understand the choices and opinions of the public by sending votes through direct messages on mobile devices. Poll results can be made available in real-time in a group chat.

Here are the ways to create and share polls on Instagram:

  • Open the Instagram application on your mobile device.
  • Open the group in the DM where you want to cast the vote.
  • Open the “Stickers” section.
  • Select the “Polls” option.
  • Enter the question and the options for the answers.
  • Click “Create poll” and submit.

You can also add votes for videos and photos that you share in DMs. Here’s how:

  • Open the Instagram application on your mobile device.
  • Open the group or private chat in the DM where you want to send the vote.
  • Open the Camera section and capture/select the video or image.
  • Click the Add button and select the “Vote” option.
  • Enter the Poll question and answer options, and click “Done.”
  • Adjust the size of the voting sticker to your liking, then click submit.
  • The audience can vote by clicking on the option for free voting. It is not possible to do polls for photos and videos.
  • Instead, the audience can write their choice in the comment box on the photos and videos below the voting sticker.
