Brazilian model Gabriela Versiani, 24, and Gabily, 27, pose for a selfie at a landmark in Paris, France on October 31, 2022. The couple promoted their bikini swimwear business, but their modeling has sparked controversy online.

The two models were filming themselves wearing black trench coats, which they then removed to reveal their red bikini bottoms.

Footage online shows that many tourists were watching the scene before the police intervened.

The NZ Herald reports that police rushed to the pair as they pulled off their shirts and told them to cover up.

A third woman wearing a blouse also took to social media with the pair and appears to be the one who filmed the scene.

Vanessa Lopez, the woman who shot the video, shared the news on her social media page and said that a police officer approached them while filming.

She told her followers: “We almost got arrested, guys, because we were posting about bikinis and they said we couldn’t.

“We said ‘ah, but bikinis’. I also said ‘lady, because we have a bikini business’.”

Ms Lopez also went on to explain that the police had told them that in France, it is illegal to take nude photos in front of tourist attractions.

The incident quickly went viral on the internet, with some believing it was unfair.

A spokesman said: “I don’t know why they don’t go to the Caribbean or the pool if you want to promote your brand. Now it’s in Paris and worse than the Tower. Your content is completely irrelevant.”

Some said the fans should be “ashamed” of their actions, while others said the line had been “crossed”.

Another social media user expressed their disapproval and said: “Sometimes the understanding comes before the marketing.”

However, there was a lot of support from the students, and some found the topic humorous.

One fan said: “If I had this bikini, this body and a ticket I would do it again lol PERFECT.”

Luane Dias, a Brazilian TV personality, also happened to be at the Eiffel Tower when the incident happened and filmed it on her phone.

On social media, he shared the event online and said: “I’m glad I don’t have them.”

One of the participating models, Gabriela Versiani, posted a video of herself in her bikini at the Eiffel Tower and revealed that she had taken photos to promote her swimwear brand, Versiani Swim.

In the caption, he wrote: “In Paris we use VS @versianiswim.”
