Collin Gosselin doesn’t mince his words when recalling his time on reality TV.
He passed Jon & Kate Plus 8 The star opened up about why he felt growing up in front of the cameras broke his family – and that he would like to repair his relationship with his mother Kate.
“I want to believe it was because of TV and what happened in the public eye to the family. I think it broke us,” Collin, who was young at the time of filming, told Fun tonight. “It gave us a little time to be together as a family [and] a lot of time in the public eye.”

The Gosselin sextuplets became household names when TLC (formerly Discovery Health) chronicled their birth and the first decade of their childhood on television.
As the children grow up, viewers also witness the destruction of the marriage between Jon and Kate. The couple – who are parents to 22-year-old twins Mady and Cara – separated and divorced in 2009, after which the series ran under the name. Kate Plus 8 until 2017.

Collin, 18, now lives with Jon, 45. The boy said his relationship with his mother changed after he was sent to a residential school to address his behavioral issues.
“After I was there, I didn’t have a relationship with her,” Collin said of Kate, 47. [being] there, I don’t think we had much of a relationship and I think it continued to fall apart. “
He added, “It’s unfortunate that we never had a relationship. I think every son wants to have a relationship with his mother. But I’m doing very well.”
When asked if he still welcomes a relationship with Kate, Collin said, “Yes, it would be great.”

Jon was granted full custody of Collin in December 2018 when Kate and her legal team failed to attend the hearing.
This past May, Fun tonight reports that Hannah, another sextuplet, also lives with Jon and Collin.
Hannah said ET He still has a relationship with his mother: “My relationship with my mother is stable. Like texting and calling each other [sic] middle ground.”
The remaining four Gosselin sextuplets – Leya, Joel, Alexis and Aaden – live with their mother.
