Hyderabad: Pistachio House, Hyderabad’s popular eatery, is all set to launch its first in-flight restaurant in the city in December It will be launched in Shamirpet.
To set up an in-flight restaurant in the city, the eatery purchased Air India’s first Airbus-320. Now, efforts are being made to revamp the restaurant spot in such a way that it gives a proper feel of the airport.
As per the proposal, there will be runways, security checks, boarding pass-style tickets etc. The aircraft will have 150 seats.
Pistachio House Challenge for Flight Restaurant in Hyderabad
After purchasing the plane, Pista House faced challenges during transportation from Kochi to Hyderabad.
On the way it got stuck in an underpass in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh. The plane was pulled out of the underpass with the help of Medarmetla police.
Later it is diverted through Korisapadu underpass.

Pista House started the restaurant business in 1997 when it opened its first hotel in Shalibanda. As of now, it has 32 branches in the city.
Founded by an entrepreneurial businessman Mohammad Abdul Majeed, the restaurant chain plans to open food courts in Dubai, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
It exports its bakery, confectionery and haleem to North America, Gulf, South East Asia, Europe etc.
Now, Pista House is going to try something new by launching a flight restaurant in Hyderabad.
Is this India’s first in-flight restaurant?
Although this is the first flight restaurant in Hyderabad, it is not unique to people from other parts of the country as other cities have such food.
It exists in Hajipur in Patna, Gurgaon in Haryana, Vadodara in Gujarat etc.
The last one opened last year was at Tarsali Bypass in Vadodara city. It has a seating capacity of 102 people.
Apart from this, the waiters and servers in Vadodara’s flight restaurants are dressed as air hostesses and stewards.
A similar model is expected to be followed at Pista House’s Flight restaurant in Hyderabad.
