Wolves star Hugo Bueno took to Instagram last night after announcing he had been handed a new contract and won Player of the Month for October.

The youngster has been rewarded by the club for his seamless transition to the first team.

Bueno joined several teams for race days earlier this year. But he eventually made his debut in a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

He has started the last three games for the club and got an assist on his debut against Crystal Palace.

Bueno is doing well when most of the team is struggling.

The owners have decided to reward Bueno in the form of a shiny new contract, which will run him through the summer of 2024.

But the good news didn’t end there for Bueno.

He was also named Player of the Month for October, receiving 55% of the vote.

He beat Ruben Neves, Adama Traore and Daniel Podence to the trophy, and deservedly so.

It’s been a whirlwind past for Bueno, who took to Instagram last night to share his thoughts.

He wrote: “It’s been an amazing month for me, I can thank everyone who made this possible, I’m so happy to sign a new contract with @Wolves and get Player of the Month too . Let’s continue to work for others, hopefully this is just the beginning.”

Many comments were left by fans and colleagues.

Wanderers captain Ruben Neves responded with ‘Dale crack’.

Dion Sanderson and Andreas Sondegaard gave Bueno his new contract and deserved Player of the Month award.

And the likes of Chem Campbell, Harvey Griffiths, Taylor Perry and Theo Corbeanu all left emojis in support of the superstar they know so well from the youth teams.

Hugo Bueno should continue to enjoy the season for Wolves after a whirlwind October

Bueno has enjoyed the last few weeks at Wolves and may need to stop and pinch himself from time to time.

Since Rayan Ait-Nouri was unable to play against Palace due to illness, Bueno has become a full member of the first team, and the left-back position he now holds has fallen.

It’s great to see a young player doing his best when he gets a chance and making an impact.

Bueno should just enjoy himself.

And he has to keep his feet on the ground – no doubt he has a chance with his character.
