Huawei is now selling the MatePad SE in Europe, but not the 10.1-inch version launched earlier this year, but the 10.4-inch version. The 10.1-inch edition relies on the Kirin 710A, while the 10.4-inch MatePad SE uses the more powerful Snapdragon 680. For reference, the latter has four ARM Cortex-A73 performance cores, four Cortex-A53 cores and an Adreno 610 GPU.

Additionally, the 246.9 x 156.7 x 7.8mm and 440g tablet has a 2000 x 1200 pixel display that supports 4096 pressure levels for the active stylus. The MatePad SE also ships with HarmonyOS 3, Huawei’s internal operating system with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) instead of Google Mobile Services (GMS). Hence, there is no native Google Play Store support with the MatePad SE.

Currently, the MatePad SE can be ordered from Otto in Germany for €149.99 plus shipping. Although the vendor is currently selling the tablet with only 32GB of storage, there should eventually be 64GB and even 128GB editions. Please see the Huawei website for full specifications and our benchmark database for a comparison of the Snapdragon 680 with the Kirin 710A.
