It’s not just smartphones that Huawei has launched in Malaysia recently, as on top of the Mate 50 series and Nova 10 lineup, Huawei has also taken the time to launch a new mid-range tablet variant, the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 here.

The Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 comes in two configurations, one with WiFi connectivity only and the other with LTE connectivity. The former comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the latter comes with just 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage instead. However, whichever you choose, the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 will still be worth the price. RM999.
You can get the WiFi-only MatePad SE 10.4 starting November 5th, with the LTE version available later in December. It will be available on the Huawei eStore as well as the official Huawei store on Shopee and Lazada, and if you get the WiFi-only tablet before the end of November, you can get yourself a free folio case and some Huawei Mobile Services rewards totaling RM329.
Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 specifications
Not to be confused with the updated MatePad 10.4 earlier this year, the MatePad SE 10.4 isn’t that bad of a tablet on paper. For starters, you’re looking at a 10.4-inch Huawei FullView IPS display with a 2000 x 1200p resolution for a pixel density of 225ppi and 70.8% NTSC color gamut coverage. The tablet weighs just 440 grams overall, and Huawei says it’s easy to hold thanks to its “micro-curved” frame design.
Under the hood, the MatePad SE 10.4 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 system chip with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in the WiFI-only model, while the LTE model only has 64GB of storage instead. Of course, there’s no Google mobile services here, as it ships with HarmonyOS 3 out of the box, but Huawei seems to have integrated tablet-specific features such as a multi-window layout and grouped widgets.
Other features of the Note include a 5MP, f/2.2 rear camera and a 2MP, f/2.2 front camera, a 5,100mAh battery with 10W charging, and stereo speakers. You can also turn on the Kids Corner feature to make it safe for kids, so parents can adjust brightness, content control, and screen time settings, among others. Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 is approximately 7.85mm thick and comes only in Graphite Black color option.
