Instagram, the most popular photo sharing app these days has always been concerned about the privacy and security of its users. Instagram, powered by Meta, will report if an account has been hacked in the past, called a Security Check. This feature helps users to recognize and eliminate other chances of their account being hacked.
The Instagram Security Check feature includes monitoring login activity, analyzing profile data, verifying accounts and shared login information, and updating account recovery contact details.
Here’s how to use the Security Check feature?

Go to the Instagram app on your smartphone, and click on the little icon in the lower right corner.

Click on the hamburger sign in the upper right corner.

So, head to choose the Identification options.

Choose the Security options.

You will see four options: Password, Email, Mobile phone number a Two-factor authentication.
