[ad_1]

There are many features of Meta’s Instagram that have not yet been explored. The photo-sharing platform recently received some new security features to protect users from malicious and malicious content and messaging applications. One such feature is the word Hidden.

Instagram introduced the Password feature recently. You can automatically filter malicious and offensive content in messages and direct messages. The photo-sharing app said that users who enable Passwords for comments see 40 percent fewer offensive and negative comments.

For those who don’t know, Hidden Words is a list of words, phrases and emojis that are thrown into a list to hide words if they are inappropriate, disrespectful or offensive. By using this feature, users will not see content like any other feature.

To enable Password feature on Instagram, here is a small guide for you:

STEP 1 Open the Instagram app on an Android or iOS device.

STEP 2 View your profile by tapping your profile picture. Available in the lower right corner.

STEP 3 Click the three-horizontal line menu button at the top right.

STEP 4 Go to the Settings tab.

STEP 5 Choose the Privacy option.

STEP 6 Click on Password option.

STEP 7 Under the Bad words and phrases tab, turn on the toggles for the Hide message, Advanced message filter, and Hide message request options.

In fact, hidden information is not visible to anyone but is still counted in the comments of users on a post.

Users can also add words, numbers, emojis and phrases to the Password list that they don’t want to be seen in messages or messaging applications.

Here’s how to add custom words to the Password list:

STEP 1 Open the Instagram app.

STEP 2 Click on your profile picture in the lower right corner.

STEP 3 Click on the three-horizontal line at the top right of the screen.

STEP 4 Go to the Settings tab.

STEP 5 Click the Privacy option and go to the Password tab.

STEP 6 Under the custom words and phrases tab, click the Manage custom words and phrases button.

STEP 7 Enter special words, phrases, numbers or emojis that you don’t want to see in the text box.

STEP 8 Turn on the toggle for Hide messages and Hide message requests to enable your custom text list for messages and message requests.
