Haryana announces new restrictions for Gurgaon, 4 other districts amid Omicron threat | Tech Reddy

Cinema theaters and sports centers will remain closed in four districts of Haryana, including Gurgaon, in case of an increase in the Omicron coronavirus variant across the country.

“Keeping in view the emergence of Omicron variant and the continuous increase in Covid-19 cases in the State, the Chairperson of the State Executive Committee hereby directs the issuance of Pandemic Alert guidelines from 02.01.2022 (from 05:00 AM). 12.01.2022 (upto 05:00 AM) in Haryana,” reads a state government order.

Against this backdrop, all cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, sports complexes, stadiums and swimming pools will remain closed in Gurugram, Faridabad, Ambala, Panchkula and Soneap on daily positive rates.

Further, offices (government and private), except for emergency/essential services, are advised to function with only 50% staff attendance.

Malls and markets are allowed to open till 5 pm and bars and restaurants are allowed to operate with 50% seating capacity.

Only fully vaccinated persons will be allowed to enter vegetable mandis, grain markets, public transport (bus stands and railway stations), parks, religious places, bars, restaurants, hotels, departmental stores, ration shops, liquor shops.

Malls, Shopping Complexes, Cinema Halls, Local Markets, Petrol & CNG Stations, LPG Gas Cylinder Collection Centres, Sugar Mills, Milk Booths, Yogashalas, Gyms, Fitness Centres, All Govt/Board/Corporation Offices, Private and Public Sector Banks are also there. Same rule.

It will be the responsibility of the owner/management of the establishment to ensure this.

The Truck and Autorickshaw Union will allow only fully immunized persons. Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory for eligible persons (above 15 years).

Citizens, who have received the first dose but missed the second dose, will not come under the above-mentioned restrictions for the mandatory second dose.

In other districts of the state, cinema halls, restaurants, bars, gyms, spas and clubhouses have been allowed to open with 50% seating capacity following the required social distancing.

Schools, colleges, polytechnics, ITIs will remain closed. No mask, no service will be strictly observed in the state.

The restrictions come a day after Haryana reported the largest single-day jump in 26 cases of the omicron variant of the coronavirus, taking the tally to 63.
