The Delhi Police on Thursday took the statements of staff at a call center in Gurugram, where Shraddha Walker’s alleged killer Aftab Poonawala worked. According to police sources, Poonawala’s behavior with women workers was not appropriate. He was fired for his bad behavior.

Poonawalla worked at the call center a few weeks before Walker was killed. He was fired when he was killed because of his behavior. He was also very irregular in work.

Under questioning, he said he was in a relationship with another woman after Walker was murdered and brought her home when her body was inside the refrigerator. Allegedly, he had sexual relations with the woman. He brought a friend home and put roses to mask the smell.

He would light incense sticks and spray the flat with room freshener to tame the stench emanating from Shraddha’s body.

On Thursday, the Delhi Police produced the man in court and demanded additional remand. They want to take him to Gurgaon.
