They thought that the future of the new tablet would be to replace the chrome os tablet with the android tablet, because android tablets had moved away from ipads and windows, then mainstream tablets still ran on android and google was remaking the tablet to android instead. chrome os. Why should Android tablets, including Samsung A tablets, switch to Chrome OS for better PC compatibility? Is the Android tablet operating system here to stay?

you must suffer, 24 September 2022chromeos tablets are terrible. especially when OEMs put lower hardware on it.There are plenty of options for high-end and mid-range Chrome tablets, and they’re better than most Android tablets except the Tab S8 series. Definitely better than any iPad since it runs the full Chrome browser with all the extensions and features. Not the missing mobile versions. Add Linux/Steam support and it’s a no-brainer.

If you want to use it for any app or services that depend on GPS location, the lack of GPS is a real deal breaker.

Another side track for Google. They will probably stop making the pills for about 2 years and abandon the project once again. Buying hardware from Google is risky because you don’t know how committed Google is to the line.

If I were you, I’d buy FreeDOS or a used Windows laptop and install whatever Linux distribution I like. The only difference between Android and ChromeOS is desktop Linux compatibility, but it’s not good to use.

On my android tablets I can always chroot to a Linux disto and actually do stuff. Better screens (mostly AMOLED) and zooming.

But you’re right about cheap hardware, and I see that even for sub-$400 Chromebooks.
