Faridabad woman, 19, beaten to death by man obsessed with her: police

Before she died, the woman told her brother the name of her assailant

A 19-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by a man obsessed with her in Faridabad’s Mujesar area, Gurgaon police said on Thursday.

The accused left the woman on the side of the road after beating her up on Wednesday night. He was rushed to the hospital where he died on Thursday evening.

Before dying, the woman told her brother the name of her assailant, against whom a murder case was filed at the Mujesar police station.

According to the police, the girl’s name is Roshni. Dabua used to live in his mother-in-law’s house near Chowk.

The accused has been identified as Mahendra, a resident of Dabua. Police said he is married.

Roshni’s brother-in-law Raju said she worked in a factory near Whirlpool Chowk and went to work on Wednesday around 8:30 am as usual.

But he did not return till late that night and his mobile phone was also switched off, he said.

“We started looking for her and got a call from an unknown number on Roshni’s brother’s phone around 5.30 am today. The person who called said that a woman was lying injured on the road. He said he asked her to call. Your number, said Raju.

After getting details about the location, her family members went to the spot and found Roshni lying in a pool of blood on the side of the road.

He told his brother Kishan that Mahendra had done this to him, Raju said.

“She told me that Mahendra had forcibly taken her from outside the factory at night and beat her with a stick. She was lying on the street that night. We took her to BK Hospital where she died during treatment,” said Roshni’s brother. In his complaint.

Mujesar police station SHO inspector Kabul Singh said, “The accused is absconding and we are conducting operations to nab him. He will be arrested soon.”
