The Vittoria Group, known for Bertie’s, Taste of Italy, Vittoria and Divino, will open Antonietta next month.
The forthcoming site in Leith Walk will replace the group’s La Favorita restaurant, which closed last month.
The bold new restaurant, set to open in December, will introduce a bold design into Italian hospitality while celebrating the strong, energetic, and dynamic style of the much-loved Italians. .
Looking to create stylish Italian hospitality and connect with a local clientele, the Leith-Instagram restaurant will be easy on the pocket while reinventing Italian cuisine in Edinburgh and a vibrant venue in designed to impress visitors.
The design is bold and contrasts and clashes across the two dining rooms to create a celebration space that reflects Antonietta’s fun dining and lively spirit.
Dishes are served on hand-painted plates from Amalfi and include Beef & Nduja Mafaldine pasta with fresh piata with Cacio e pepe sauce, Fior di Latte & Pancetta strips. Limeoncello and Pink Gin slushy as well as Organic wines will be part of the drinks menu.
All of Antoietta’s ingredients are sourced as locally as possible or directly from small suppliers in Italy.
Vittoria Group Director Leandro Crolla said: “We’ve been fighting with trams on Leith Walk for years; however, there is now light at the end of the tunnel as we say goodbye to La Favorita restaurant after 17 years, we salute Antonieta – a loud and bold Italian restaurant serving a ‘new style’ area.
“The pizzeria brand remains in our takeout and home delivery business under our La Favorita Delivered, which continues to grow in the city.”
Earlier this year, the multi-award-winning Vittoria Group announced changes to their La Favorita Delivery pizza brand to offer a futuristic design and a more affordable menu as part of their research and continuous development.
La Favorita Delivered continues to operate seven days a week in Edinburgh Central.
