Sheeran has announced that he is taking a hiatus from Instagram until the new year, having deleted all pictures from his grid.
The singer, 31, left fans scratching their heads as she posted a picture of herself with her back to the camera looking off into the distance as she stood on the rocks rushing out of the sea.
“Signing now until 2023. See you in the new year. Much love, Ed x,” she wrote alongside the hidden image.
The comment section was flooded with messages of support from his loyal followers eager to know what he had planned.
“Can’t wait. Have a great time with your family,” another wrote.
“A well deserved break, can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store for you,” added another.
“This is really exciting,” said a third.
The surprise move comes after he was spotted this week on North Denes beach in Lowestoft, Suffolk, doing some undercover filming.
It appears that the picture shared on his Instagram was taken at the same time.
While the MailOnline reports that the crew tried to dissuade members of the public by claiming that the film featured “fish fingers”, it is believed that they were actually making a music video for a studio album. Sheeran’s sixth single, due out next year.
The beautiful place is 30 miles from where he grew up and lives with his wife Cherry Seaborn and their two daughters in his £3.7m “Sheeranville” Suffolk estate.
