Delhi: Woman-son arrested for murdering husband, dismembering body into 22 pieces | Tech Reddy

A woman has been arrested along with her son in East Delhi’s Pandav Nagar for allegedly killing her husband and dismembering his body into 22 pieces.

According to Delhi Police’s Crime Branch, the accused woman Poonam and son Deepak have been arrested for killing her husband Anjan Das at their Trilokpuri home, dismembering his body and dumping it on the ground nearby.

Poonam and Deepak kept various body parts of Anjan Das in the fridge. Body parts were dumped in various areas of Pandava Nagar and East Delhi. The incident took place in Trilokpuri of the national capital.

After midnight, the police arrested the man by hiding in front of Chand cinema. Poonam told the police that she had an illicit relationship with Das and was the reason for the murder.

The case comes in the wake of the sensational murder case in which accused Aftab Poonawala killed his live-in girlfriend Shraddha Walker and chopped her body into 35 pieces in May this year. He stored the cut parts in a refrigerator and gradually disposed of them in the forests of South Delhi and Gurgaon. The accused is currently in Delhi Police custody and is undergoing a polygraph test today.

After the gruesome murder of Shraddha Walker, another such incident came to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur, where a woman’s body was mutilated and dumped at a remote location.

According to Sitapur police, the dead body of Jyoti alias Sneha was recovered from Gulariha under Rampur Kalan police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district on November 8, where two prime accused Pankaj Maurya and identified. Durjan Pasi has been arrested. The deceased is the wife of an accused named Pankaj Maurya. “Accused Pankaj Maurya has confessed to the police that he killed his wife along with one of his accomplices,” Sitapur police revealed in its statement.

In his statement to the police, the accused said that the deceased Jyoti alias Sneha used to consume drugs regularly.
