Cristiano Ronaldo fans had a lot of negative comments on Wayne Rooney’s Instagram post about his son Kai.

Ronaldo was quizzed about money and fame by Morgan, with the TalkTV host asking the five-time Ballon d’Or winner if he had more money in the bank or more Instagram followers.

Jokingly, the 37-year-old said: “That’s a good question! Same!”

Morgan replied: “I’m just trying to work out how Wayne Rooney can hate you!”

Ronaldo replied: “Not only him, think about the rest of the rats and they will criticize me, but it’s good to be number one.”

Earlier in the news, Ronaldo described Rooney as ‘jealous’ of his success and longevity in the game.

Portuguese international powerhouses have used this as an opportunity to mock Rooney on social media.

One of Rooney’s latest posts is a birthday post for his son Kai, who turned 13 earlier this month.

He captioned a post of himself, Kai and second son Klay: “Happy 13th Birthday @kairooney.10. Teen.”

It didn’t stop the rumors from becoming a real problem, with Ronaldo’s supporters believing that Rooney had ‘spoken’ to him with the news that came out earlier this year.

One said: “Have you won the Ballon d’Or? Cristiano has done more than you.”

The second comment: “Stop talking about CR7. Who are you?”

One said: “Never talk about my man Ronaldo.”

The 37-year-old is United’s and England’s all-time leading goalscorer and is regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation. In Rooney’s defence, one wrote: “How does the king respect these comments? Be considerate of the best Englishman to celebrate the game, please.

Ronaldo is expected to leave United in the January transfer window after putting manager Erik ten Hag in charge during talks with Morgan.
