New Delhi: A Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud will hear the Chhattisgarh Nagrik Apoorti Nigam (NAN) irregularity case.
A lawyer mentioned this morning before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, who said the matter will now be heard by his bench. CJI DY Chandrachud observed that the matter was earlier heard by another bench headed by his predecessor former CJI UU Lalit and two other judges.
The lawyer said that the matter was listed before another judge and was heard by several other judges earlier.
The court noted that there were about 400 matters in the roster when the registrar gave it a chart and the latest order on the matter asked to list the case before Justice MR Shah.
CJI DY Chandrachud said he would now take up the matter before two other brother judges.
The top court is dealing with the Enforcement Directorate’s plea to transfer the case from Chhattisgarh. The Enforcement Directorate had registered a money laundering case against IAS officers including Anil Tuteja in connection with the civil supply scam. (ANI)
