Chelsea fans may want to pay attention to Reece James’ latest social media posts.

James posted a message on his Instagram about himself in Chelsea training gear.

The 22-year-old added the caption ‘there’s a crowd when it’s time to party but when it’s time to put in the work it’s lonely…’

Don’t we all love a mystery brand?

Now, the defender may have just gone for a walk when the meaningful message popped into his head.

Or, the Stamford Bridge faithful prefer to believe, he is talking about joining the training ground.

The important thing is to make his way back from injury.

James fights his injury

James hasn’t kicked a competitive ball in over a month since injuring his knee against AC Milan.

He will be expected to be fit for the World Cup and the full-back will be confident heading into Qatar.

Gareth Southgate did not buy into the Chelsea player’s hopes and decided that the risk was not worth it.

Southgate left James out of the 26-man squad due to his fitness.

Supporters and fans were devastated for the Cobham academy graduate after his World Cup dreams were dashed.

But this is not the time to dwell on sorrows.

James’ goal is to be fully recovered in time for the return of indoor football.

His recovery was crucial to Chelsea’s second half of the season and, more importantly, to help Graham Potter in action.

Potter will be heavily scrutinized at the end of the World Cup to improve his team’s performance after losing three Premier League games.

Admittedly, he was without some of his most influential players during that run due to injury.

If the Blues boss can use James, Ben Chilwell, Kepa Arrizabalaga, N’Golo Kante and Wesley Fofana to their full potential, who knows where the squad will end up in May.

The Chelsea striker was ruled out injured for his country last night, with a bag of sugar found on his ankle
