Mark Cuban and Falon Fatemi’s publisher Fireside has acquired streaming platform Stremium. The purchase will allow the Fireside app to launch immediately with Smart TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku and other connected TV devices.
“This will quickly increase the reach of IP owners, creators and brands that support Fireside to build the studio, network and distribution services of the future by providing greater access to existing and new audiences,” Fatemi, the Cuban partner of Fireside business, wrote in a letter to investors obtained by Various types.
Fatemi added: “This enables us to deliver our industry first, second experience where audiences can use their phones to engage and communicate in real time while watching their TVs.”
Founded by Fatemi and Cuban, Fireside is a Web3 interactive platform that uses a membership model to allow “super fans” of its platform’s creators, including Jay Leno, Melissa Rivers, Craig Kilborn and “Entourage,” to connect with talent as they perform live through their Fireside “networks.”
Previously, Fireside was only available through its website and downloads from the App Store.

Exciting Updates for Discovery as We Usher in a New Era of Broadcasting and Media
The world’s first gaming streaming platform just got bigger! Fireside is coming to a TV near you!
We are excited to share that we have come up with a strategic plan that will accelerate our position in advertising as the future of media.
Fireside has acquired the leading cloud computing platform, Stremium and as a result Fireside will soon be available on Smart TV and Amazon Fire TV, Roku and more. This will rapidly expand the reach of IP owners, creators, and brands that support Fireside to build the studios, networks, and distribution services of the future by providing greater reach to existing and new audiences.
What’s more, this enables us to deliver to our audience the first second screen experience where audiences can use their phones to engage and interact in real time while watching their TVs. Imagine watching a live cooking show with your favorite chef at the same time on your TV and on your phone where you can connect and be invited to talk directly to them and show them what you’re cooking in the palm of your hand!
Ultimately, the Stremium platform will allow Fireside creators to quickly upload, publish, program, and distribute content while supporting live content across mobile and TV platforms. Through exciting acquisitions, we continue to redefine the boundaries of broadcasting and deliver the next generation of media and entertainment.
We have more industry announcements coming up so stay tuned…
