Gold Coast influencer Jade Kevin Foster says he is “deeply shaken” and has vowed to sell his home and move after thieves broke into his car and crashed into Ipswich Highway.
Netflix’s Byron Baes star had up to $15,000 worth of designer clothes, jewelry and camera equipment in a stolen BMW on Saturday morning, the Courier Mail reported. He says they are now missing and fears he is being targeted after he posted about his life on social media.
“I’m really shaking,” the 30-year-old, who has 1.2 million Instagram followers, said in the post. “I can’t believe this has happened. I’m putting my house on the market and I’m moving.”
The robbery comes just five months after Mr Foster had his diamond engagement ring stolen by a gang while on a trip to Brisbane.
“One hundred percent I share my life on Instagram is the reason I stole the ring,” he said. “I’m not sure if there’s a car, but I’m afraid now to give information about my house, address, neighborhood, or anything. Instagram is my life, and now I’m scared of it.
BMW was stolen from the police car
Police told Yahoo News Australia that the BMW 320i M Sport was taken from Brookwater Village in Ipswich just outside Brisbane before it was found in a Collingwood Park car park at around 1.20am. on Saturday. Officers were there when they saw the driver hit a tree before “seemingly” breaking into their police car and speeding away.
The developer, who also starred in Gold Coast horror film The Possessed, told the Courier Mail that police had been chasing the car for nine hours before it disappeared.
The car was later found abandoned on the Ipswich Motorway in Redbank at 8.30pm with “a variety of damage,” police said. A spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia that investigations into the theft are ongoing.
Mr Foster took to social media to share his pain.
“I stopped my car after he wrote him in a tree, all the doors were pushed, all the things they gave me stopped,” Mr Foster told his Instagram followers. “But for some reason, after the car was destroyed and thrown away, they decided to take the keys they stole and lock the car.”
