GURUGRAM: A driver allegedly rammed his vehicle into a home guard after traffic police tried to stop the vehicle for seat-belt violation by a passenger during rush hour. AIT Chowk on Saturday. The incident leaves the home guard, Dinesh Kumar (30), with a broken leg.
Police on Sunday said they have registered an FIR against the driver of the vehicle and are trying to identify him through scans CCTV Footage of the area.

Kumar has been treated at a city hospital and his condition is stable.
“We are investigating the matter. The teams are scanning the CCTV footage of the area. Strict action will be ensured against unidentified drivers,” said a police official.
The driver has been booked under sections 188 (disobeying orders duly directed by public servant), 279 (reckless driving or cycling on public road), 308 (attempt to culpable homicide) and 338 (person who causes grievous bodily harm to any person).
