The Apple iPad Pro 12.9 is huge.

In our review, the Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2022) impresses across the board. Boasting a sharp mini-LED display, a fast M2 SoC, plenty of storage space for those who can afford it, and a long refresh cycle, it’s a great tablet.

The 6th generation Apple iPad Pro 12.9 has a thin aluminum body and a bright mini-LED display. The latter is virtually unchanged from its predecessor and is said to reach a peak brightness of up to 1,600 cd/m². In our tests, the color calibration turned out to be a little off, but the measured differences can be seen in almost all other reviews. The tablet now recognizes the Apple Pencil (Gen. 2) even when it is on the screen.

The heart of the Apple tablet is the M2 processor, which is also used in the MacBook Pro, and can draw up to 16 GB of working memory. Storage options range from 128 to 2048 GB, with ProRes video limitations on the smallest model.

The Type-C interface is equipped with USB 4 and Thunderbolt 3, which not only provide high data transfer rates, but also connect external displays. Apple also adds Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, but that’s pretty much it.

This, of course, does not justify the high price premium compared to the previous one. But this is primarily due to the unfavorable exchange rate. So if you want to save a lot of money without making any serious compromises, just go for last year’s model.

Otherwise, the current iPad Pro 12.9 can be ordered directly from Apple in all color and storage options. Other retailers, notably Amazon, offer the tablet at a lower price.
