Apart from arresting two accused, the Anti-Narcotics Unit on Friday seized 31 kg of narcotics, 12,205 intoxicating pills and 850 liters of banned chemicals. According to ANF head office official, ANF and ASF recovered 12,205 intoxicating pills from a passenger from Jhelum who was traveling to Thailand during an operation at Lahore International Airport.

In a joint operation, ANF and Punjab State Rangers recovered 1.5 kg of heroin from the accused, a resident of Gujranwala.

In two other operations conducted in Turbat Gwadar and Dalbandiyan areas, ANF recovered 30 kg of heroin and 850 liters of banned chemicals.

Separate cases have been registered against the accused under the CNS Act, 1997 in the concerned ANF police stations and further investigation is underway, he added.
