As part of an early Black Friday sale, Amazon’s new 2022 Fire HD 8 tablet is seeing its first price drop. Always $100, it’s available now $54.99 shipped or a massive 45% of the going rate. You can also get the new Fire HD 8 Kids Edition for $150 off $79.99 shipped – again the first price drop and then a new low. It’s hard to say for sure if this and all of the Fire tablets on sale below are official Black Friday price drops, but it sure looks like it. First unveiled this September, it boasts improved performance with a hexa-core processor, 13 hours of battery life and is “twice as durable as the Apple iPad mini.” Ready for Alexa and video chat, it sports an 8-inch display with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD card) “for home reading, web browsing, watching videos and listening to music.
