Amazon joins TVS Motor Company to scale the EV movement in India | Tech Reddy

New Delhi: Amazon India and TVS Motor Company on Wednesday announced a partnership in electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler delivery, helping to advance electric mobility in India.
As part of this collaboration, two-wheeler and three-wheeler electric fleet from TVS Motor will be deployed in the last miles of Amazon.
The two companies will pilot TVS Motor’s electric vehicle solutions through partner infrastructure and service delivery partners across the country.
“This will support our supply chain in reducing environmental impact and contribute to Amazon India’s goal of importing 10,000 EVs into our fleet by 2025,” said Abhinav Singh, Director, Customer Fulfillment, Supply Chain and Global Specialty Fulfillment, Amazon India. .
In 2020, the e-commerce giant said its fleet of vehicles in the country will include 10,000 EVs by 2025. The installation of these EVs is in addition to Amazon’s global commitment to 100,000 EVs by 2030.
“With the huge success of TVS ‘iQube Electric’, we are now determined to expand our electric offering across multiple sectors and the commercial mobility stands at the right inflection point,” said Manu Saxena, Senior Vice President, Future Mobility, TVS Motor Company.
TVS Motor is ready with electric two-wheelers and three product options for the business-to-business (B2B) segment, with an integrated service ecosystem and single ownership.
In addition, the two companies will work together to explore EV use cases across Amazon’s various business groups for network and logistics needs.
